Something about me: I love Disney.
And not like, in a passive ‘oh-Disney-is-awesome’ way. I mean in a straight up aggressive-annual-pass holder-status way.
Last Halloween, I paid homage to my favorite villain, Maleficent.
This year, however, I wanted to indulge my inner princess and pay tribute to my favorite Disney character of all time, Princess Aurora. We shot these in the forest (yes, finding a forest in Arizona is exactly how difficult you’re imagining) and had a blast. The best part about Halloween and Halloween costumes is that you have the opportunity, for one night a year to be whatever and whoever you want.
Plus size Halloween costumes can be hard to come by, so I had this one made for me from a seller on AliExpress. I sent the seller my measurements and within two weeks this gorgeous gown was at my door.
And of course, I couldn’t resist ordering a costume for husband to that he could be my prince for the night.
For the actual party, I will have a blonde wig (which I hadn’t sourced when we shot this look) so follow me on Instagram as I’ll be live reporting from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on Friday, October 17th!
Stay tuned for another Halloween look next week!
