Christmas is this week, and I am so looking forward to spending it with my dear friends and family. We’ll be taking some time off to relax and reflect before the new year. Before I take my tech-break, I wanted to share this traditional Christmas look with you and a story about the faux fur wrap I’m wearing.
I grew up in Montreal, Canada before meeting Husband when I was 18, and I moved to Arizona. I left behind white Christmases and holidays surrounded by my family to start my own family. It’s always been a challenge. A few years back on one of my trips to visit home, my grandmother pulled this beautiful faux few wrap out of her closet and insisted that I take it home. She had bought it when I was very young and held on to it all these years, wearing it every once in a while (though it didn’t see the light of day much – my family is more sartorially practical than I). Since I brought it home with me, it’s kind of been a thing I do, every Christmas. No matter what dress I wear for our annual Christmas party, I bring out this piece and wear it and think of my family back home.
I hope you all have a wonderful, beautiful Christmas (or whatever you celebrate). I’ll be back in a few days.
