Steal Her Style : Melissa McCarthy at SNL 40

I absolutely LOVE this all black look on Melissa McCarthay tonight at the SNL 40 red carpet. Everything about this works – from the perfect length maxi skirt, waist defining belt and fitted top. While I’m still tracking down the designer responsible for this amazing look, I thought I would give you two options on how you can re-create this look at home. One is more glam (with a sequin maxi, like the one Melissa wore) and one is more everyday (and budget!)

Version 1 : Everyday Glam

This version of the look is something that you could wear around town for date night. You’ll still get the overall effect of the waist cinching red carpet look, but with no sparkle. Also, the sheer panel in this maxi definitely take it from Hollywood A-list event to casual evening out. Also, the higher neck on the bodysuit will be more conservative than the version below. I chose a bodysuit for this look because we’ll end up with the same fitted look as in Melissa’s photo – and – it’s perfect for ladies who aren’t comfortable wearing a crop top.

Version 2 : SUPER Glam

This look is RIGHT up my alley. The full sequin maxi is just about the sparkliest you can get – but what makes this next level is the neckline on the body suit. That deep-v is so sexy and so glam, I can’t even! If you’re a girl that loves to stand out, or you have an event coming up, this is a great look!
