Maybe it’s the New York hangover. It must be. It’s been a few months since my runway show, and since then I crave the runway. The flashing lights, the music, the excitement that crackles through the air as people take their seats… it’s intoxicating.
So, naturally, when I heard that Phoenix Fashion Week was hosting a mid-season runway show (and I was in town!) I immediately secured seats to Spring Into Style!
Knowing that this was the fashion event of the spring season here in the Valley, I felt a teensy bit of pressure to pick the perfect outfit. While I was in Los Angeles, I (of course) went to City Chic – and (of course) they had the perfect jumpsuit for the occasion.
The show was broken down into six showcases, each one representing a spring trend. The unique twist of the show was that instead of showcasing designers, the looks were curated by some of the top stylists here in town. For the most part, the shows were innovative and unique, presenting a strong point of view.
Sadly, there was no plus size representation at the show (Phoenix Fashion Week, if you’re listening, let me help you with that!). Remember though, that even as a plus woman looking at runway shows, there is value there. Take inspiration from the looks presented and find a way to make it for you.
Check out some photos from the runway!
