When the trend first popped up last year, I definitely turned my nose up at it. It took me back to high school – flowy white dresses and combat boots and tiny backpacks and grunge.
Yeah, not me.
But as the styles have evolved, the trend has grown on me. There are a ton of high end and highly stylish options available now, depending on your personal style.I knew the trend was solidified when I had dinner with Chastity of Garner Style and she was carrying a beautiful blushed toned backpack with gold hardware. If it has Garner’s seal of approval, it’s good for me! I recently bought my first (non school related) backpack for fall – a convertible number from Henri Bendel. With my jetsetting lifestyle, it’s perfect! I can wear it as a backpack while I run through airports or walk around town, as a cross body when I need quick in and out access, or as a handbag when I’m in business-y situations.
