Mixed Up

by Wednesday, November 16, 2016

When it comes to putting together outfits, pattern mixing is by far the most intimidating style to create. It’s really easy for this to go too far, so when I see items come out that do the mixing for me, I get really excited.
The pairing of polka dots and florals creates such a beautiful, feminine look – the ladylike floral is taken to a whole new fun level with the dots.

This one, in particular, is absolutely beautiful. The layer of tulle beneath the floral skirt give it just the right amount of “oomph” to be party-perfect, and the overlay of mesh and dots is more chic than childlike – creating an overall stunning look.
I paired this with my Valentino Rockstud clutch in red to bring out the tones in the pattern and my Valentino bow heels in black. I’m not sure why, but this dress gave me major Valentino vibes, so I gravitated to my designer accessories to complete the outfit.

  • Love this! I love how the studs on the bag contrast with the prettiness of the dress.
