I know this title is a bit weird, but bear with me.
I think a lot of us misunderstand what sexy things is for. There’s this common thought that wearing sexy things is somehow for someone else.
Let me correct that: sexy things are for YOU. They are for YOU to feel powerful. For YOU to feel beautiful. For YOU to feel feminine, soft, beautiful, womanly. Not for anyone else.
There’s this place in Malibu, on the coast.
There, wildflowers dance when the breeze runs through them. The wildflower patch is at the top of the cliff and they almost seem to look down at the ocean below it, their dance reminiscent of a cheer every time the water crashes against the rocks. As you walk down the path, the tall grass and tiny flowers welcome you, in shades of yellow and red and blue. It’s so romantic and idyllic. The air is alive with the fragrance of the cool ocean and laughter from below. I brought the memories home with me and tried to re-create the magic at home.
If you’ve been following my YouTube channel this week (you are subscribed, right?) you know I’ve recently spent some time in the Caribbean with one of my dearest friends, Gavyn from The Curvy Cutie. To say that Nassau and the Bahamas is a dream come true is an understatement.
Summer is right around the corner and I don’t know about you, but I. AM. READY. Bright colors, shorts, pools and frozen drinks are all I can think about these days! I partnered with Gwynnie Bee to bring you guys a 3-look lookbook to inspire you for all of your summer adventures.
Let me set the scene for you:
It’s a hot spring day in Palm Springs, California. The sky is void of clouds and the sun is bright and high in the sky. The cactus stand, tall and proud and there’s a fresh smell in the air – one that is comprised of wide open spaces, desert and a light breeze. I step out of my suite onto the patio, overlooking the pool.
So much of my life is spent on the road- and on a recent work trip to San Francisco, I was inspired to create a lookbook for you that was made for you girlbosses out there. The ones that are working their way to the corner office, traveling to conferences, shmoozing the clients. I put together a 3 outfit lookbook to take you from those daylong conferences and meetings, to happy hour with the boss and clients and then finally a bonus outfit for your personal day, when you’re exploring the city before your flight home.
