Experiencing a full fall season is something I’ve missed since moving to Phoenix all those years ago. It seems like another lifetime when I would ride my bike through the woods, crushing fallen leaves with the wheels of my two-speed, laughing with my friends. Lately, fall days are roughly 89 degrees and full of sunshine.
Summer is right around the corner and I don’t know about you, but I. AM. READY. Bright colors, shorts, pools and frozen drinks are all I can think about these days! I partnered with Gwynnie Bee to bring you guys a 3-look lookbook to inspire you for all of your summer adventures.
While I try to bring you the utmost in glam on the blog, I have to admit that just like everyone else, I have dressed down days. I try to keep those days limited to Sunday, where most of my house chores and grocery shopping is done. On those days, I opt for something comfortable and flowy, and above all easy to run around in.
Ruffles as a spring trend are nothing short of gorgeous – but can be a bit tricky to pull off. There’s a fine line between looking chic and looking like a cartoon character, so I’m showing you how to make this look perfect for the weekend.
If you’ve been around for a minute, you know my favorite type of jean is a destroyed pair. I will try just about every single pair I can get my hands on – dark, light, baggy, tight – I want them all.
Yes, I know. It’s an addiction.
This is definitely a different look for me, on a personal level, it almost feels like home. It’s like a revival of teenage Crystal: the girl who was part rocker, part pop princess. My teenage version of this look was decidedly unpolished, so I put my own glam spin on it when trying to re-create it. Makeup is a bit more sophisticated and I opted for my favorite black pointed toe heels to make this old look new again.
Off the shoulder tops will always be my to-go. They work for my pear shaped body type, showing off my shoulders while still being stylish at the same time. When Forever 21 came to me to put together a spring look and I saw this gorgeous coral flouncy top, I knew I had to have it.
I am such a sucker for brand collabs – and this one from Who What Wear is current, trendy and filled with items you need to wear RIGHT NOW. This vest, is by far and away, the showstopper from the first round of the collection.
