When it comes to putting together outfits, pattern mixing is by far the most intimidating style to create. It’s really easy for this to go too far, so when I see items come out that do the mixing for me, I get really excited.
The pairing of polka dots and florals creates such a beautiful, feminine look – the ladylike floral is taken to a whole new fun level with the dots.
If 2016 had a color, it would be olive.
Everywhere you turn, olive is alive in bomber jackets, jeans, cozy sweaters and of course… dresses. When a color or a trend gets so saturated, I find myself looking for interesting takes on it – a fashionista has to stand out!
Summer is right around the corner and I don’t know about you, but I. AM. READY. Bright colors, shorts, pools and frozen drinks are all I can think about these days! I partnered with Gwynnie Bee to bring you guys a 3-look lookbook to inspire you for all of your summer adventures.

Happy March, everyone!
I love the first day of a new month – it makes me feel like we have a clean slate and a fresh start to make this month better than the last. I wore this gorgeous dress recently to a local meeting of my FGI chapter, where I serve on the board of directors. To say that the FGI ladies are a stylish bunch would be an understatement, but the ladies stopped and swooned over my frock. I felt like a million bucks!
My friends and I have this thing where we go out just for dessert and tea. Those nights are some of my favorite, especially around the holidays when they’re peppered with gift exchanges, holiday preparation stories and general good tidings. Sometimes, our get-togethers are held at restaurants where we sample artisanal desserts, but sometimes one of us hosts and we all bring our favorite treat.
