I know this title is a bit weird, but bear with me.
I think a lot of us misunderstand what sexy things is for. There’s this common thought that wearing sexy things is somehow for someone else.
Let me correct that: sexy things are for YOU. They are for YOU to feel powerful. For YOU to feel beautiful. For YOU to feel feminine, soft, beautiful, womanly. Not for anyone else.
I love mixing items that don’t traditionally go together. This skirt and this top, at first glance, aren’t items you would pair. The plus size black skirt is drapey and romantic (and decidedly evening) and this top is floaty and huge and oversized, with a stripe that screams “day on a yacht”.
I wore this gorgeous dress recently to a local meeting of my FGI chapter, where I serve on the board of directors. To say that the FGI ladies are a stylish bunch would be an understatement, but the ladies stopped and swooned over my frock. I felt like a million bucks!
It wasn’t all that long ago that I would read straight-size blogs and pine over the incredible fashions, wishing that something like that existed for me. Lace pants was definitely so high on that lust list. I would fawn over pictures of my favorite blogger girls wearing lace pants all over the world, oozing romance and ladylike perfection – all while sneering at my yoga pants.
From the first time I stepped into Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar, I knew that everything I tried would be an adventure. From deconstructed pizzas to burgers that are so unique it’s intimidating (but order bravely, you’ll be happy you did) the menu is just plain fun. See what I wore on a recent lunch date at Guy’s.
