There’s this place in Malibu, on the coast.
There, wildflowers dance when the breeze runs through them. The wildflower patch is at the top of the cliff and they almost seem to look down at the ocean below it, their dance reminiscent of a cheer every time the water crashes against the rocks. As you walk down the path, the tall grass and tiny flowers welcome you, in shades of yellow and red and blue. It’s so romantic and idyllic. The air is alive with the fragrance of the cool ocean and laughter from below. I brought the memories home with me and tried to re-create the magic at home.
El Matador is the yoga class to Santa Monica’s frantic cardio workout. El Matador makes you work as you climb down the steep cliff (slowly, carefully) and down flights of stairs. But once you’re down to the tiny beach, the small strips of sand between majestic rock formations is unequivocally peaceful. Time stops here – and you can breathe, explore and feel free from the world. I knew I wanted to film a lookbook there, and it was such a natural fit for Neiman Marcus Last Call & I to work together to showcase some of their incredible maxi dresses and talk about their plus offerings.View Post
Happy March, everyone!
I love the first day of a new month – it makes me feel like we have a clean slate and a fresh start to make this month better than the last. It also means that we’re on the precipice of wedding season! Just like last year, I’ll be bringing you a wedding week (with a twist this time) – but for now, I’m sharing a look that is totally wedding guest appropriate.
